Bible Timeline
Does anybody know where I could get a good timeline of the approximate dates of when each book of the Bible was written?

One of the big distinctions between various dating schemes have to do with belief in prophecy. If you don’t believe in prophecy, a book could not possibly be written before the supposed prophesies contained within were fulfilled ( i.e. destruction of the temple). This is the problem I’ve found over the years. Many of these writers and compilers have no belief in inspiration and therefore no confidence in the prophecies.
Many liberal theologians have had great influence on some of the timelines so reader beware. That explains at least some of the wild fluctuations in these timelines. A few years back we did our study through the New Testament in the adult class based on our best understanding of the timeline. I got most of my info from the intro to each book in my NIV Study BIble. It provided a simple, concise explanation of why they chose each date. On more questionable dates I looked at Tenny’s _New Testament Survey_, Guthrie’s _New Testament Introduction_, and Feine, Behm & Kummel’s _Introduction To The New Testament_. For more critical Old Testament info I have Archer’s _A Survey of the Old Testament_ from my OT introduction class in college.
I realize you are probably aware of everything I’ve written but since we are writing to a larger audience I include it anyway.

I have a complete, “Chromology of the Entire Bible,” from the Beginning of Time, 4,139 BC (Genesis 5) to Revival 2015 (Rev 20.10). I will share it by e-mail. Write to me. The dates of the books to the Bible may be compiled in short order if you request one.
