Sharing a Bible verse from my reading.
I have been concentrating on the letter of Titus and impressed with the many references to doing good deeds. In Titus 3:5, it says that “He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy…” But verse eight says that Titus is to speak confidently, “so that those who have believed God will be careful to engage in good deeds.”
We are saved by the mercy of God, but we need to “be ready for every good deed” (Titus 3:1).

I’m so glad to see your post. Good one, too, as all your thoughts are.

Amen! I am fascinated with Paul’s usage of work(s) in his letter to the Ephesians. We are either a slave to evil or a slave to good. Paul, amazingly, switches back and forth through the letter powerfully demonstrating our past in contrast to our present existence. We were dead in sin, but now we’ve been raised with Christ! Knowing what God, through Christ, has done for us, every child of the King should be zealous for good works. Thank you for calling attention to God’s marvelous plan.
