We are going to meet God
There is a simple truth that every person must face and it represents the greatest challenge that we will face in this life. It is given in AMOS 4:12 where it is written: "Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do thus unto thee, Prepare to meet thy God, O Israel." God had repeatedly called Israel to repent of their rebellion and turn to Him but they refused. Therefore, He told them to get ready for an eventual meeting with Him and that meeting would not be pleasant unless they turn and served Him.
We are going to meet God! Make no mistake about that. The atheists and others want us to believe that faith in God is foolishness and that we should just ignore the evidence about us supporting His existence, majesty, and power. They believe that those of us who believe in God are just fools. But, the bible says that ‘The fool has said in his heart, there is no God.’ Yes, there is God and we are going to meet Him. It makes no difference how long we may live, how famous we may become, how much wealth we may obtain, or anything else, ‘we are going to meet God!’
Have you learned what you must do to prepare for the meeting with God? Have you studied and become a Christian? Have you considered the importance of being faithful in serving God after you became a Christian? Please do not let discouragement or disappointment cause you to forget that regardless of any circumstances in this life, YOU ARE GOING TO MEET GOD AND YOU MUST BE READY!
