“Occupy” is the byword given to the various groups of protestors that have sprung up in various burgs across the nation from Washington DC to Boaz, Alabama. It began with the “Occupy Wall Street” protest against corporate greed and their lack of compassion for the average citizen. But it quickly mushroomed into a boiling cauldron of mixed messages with no one able to identify a singular or united grievance. While I disagree with the occasional violence, that has erupted from some “Occupiers”, there is one thing worth noting: there is a tremendous amount of pent-up discontent and hostility across America. It should cause those in positions of authority to pause and ask why and what does the future hold. If they do, perhaps they will discover that the devil’s “every man for himself” philosophy will end in self-destruction. This is Just-a-Minute with Ed Boggess
