How old is the Bible?
A lady sent a message through the BNc contact page with this question: How old is the Bible?
It seemed a good idea to let the Fellows, and others, tackle it here on TFR.

We know that the words in the Bible came from the mind of God, i.e. from His Spirit (2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Corinthians 2; 2 Peter 1:20-21), and we also know that God is eternal (Psalm 90:2; cf. Isaiah 40:28; Romans 16:26; 1 Timothy 1:17). Thus, it would follow that the words in the Bible are eternal.
How old is the Bible? If you’re talking about the inspired words in the Bible – Ageless.

Apart from Mike’s answer, I would ask exactly what she had in mind. The words of God go back to time’s beginning, but is she asking about words in written form on paper, is she talking about particulars of it, just what is she asking exactly? Not knowing any of these questions, Mike’s answer is the best.
