    Chapter by Chapter: Ephesians (alternate)

Here is an alternate chapter-by-chapter rundown of Ephesians (not original with me, though I don’t know where I got it).  This one focuses on the overall theme of the book, the church of Jesus Christ.  Someone once wrote that Colossians could be summed up with “The Christ of the Church” as its theme, & Ephesians could be summed up with “The Church of the Christ” as its theme.

    Ch. 1—The church: Christ’s body

Ch. 2—The church: The house/temple of God

Ch. 3—The church: Declaring the wisdom of God

Ch. 4—The church: Perfection & unification of the church

Ch. 5—The church: The spotless bride of Christ

Ch. 6—The church: The army of God

These are: One Body (From Calling in First Century; but New Jerusalem now), One Spirit (Wisdom), One Hope (Knowledge), One Lord (Iesous’ riches), One Faith (Bibe), One Dipping (Dippiong),One God (Adoption) – Ephesians 4.4-6; ana several others.

I have written an “exhaustive” commentary on Romans. I may be the only expositor to have undersdtood the book. The Pope teaches, as you have posted, “Chsps 1 & 2 about Gentiles. Paul wrote 3 times, “To the Jew first and to the Greek also.” I have located every phrase in Chps 1 & 2 in the OT applying to the Jews. You should learn to, “Quit reciting ther Pope.”

Sid, thanks for the comment, but please don’t attempt to read my mind. You clearly are unable to do so. I am not Catholic, and I’m certainly not going to lean upon a fallible man for my understanding of Scripture, but I can read, and I stand by the summary given of Romans 1-2.
